Description:

If you are a talented and successful salesperson with an interest in the insurance industry, we would love to have you on our team. Your primary goal as an Insurance Agent will be to generate new business by contacting potential customers and building long-term relationships. In addition, you will need excellent communication skills and powerful negotiation skills. Other requirements for this position include being able to handle difficult situations well and possessing outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a collaborative relationship with prospective clients from various sources such as networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Recommend risk management strategies that fit clients’ personal risk profiles.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of initiatives to management.
  • Complete administrative tasks including maintaining records and handling policy renewals.
  • Track insurance claims to ensure client and company satisfaction.
  • Describe the advantages and disadvantages of different policies to promote the sale of insurance plans.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or insurance companies.
  • Respond to clients’ insurance-related questions and issues.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance sales or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the different types of insurance plans including vehicle, home, and business.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in computers and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Description:

Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will provide high-level support on all financial matters of the organization to ensure and oversee financial efficiency and success. 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing multiple tailored reports to leadership as needed. 
  • Manage daily deposits of the organization. 
  • Entering bills and making payments on certain timeframes depending on the carriers/brokers we work with.  
  • Pull commission statements from all our carriers and then break them down for different entities within our organization. 
  • Manually enter financial information for non-downloaded carrier policies. 
  • Each pay period, make contributions to the financial institution. 
  • Oversee retirement plan eligibility and requirements. 
  • Reconcile bank statements. 
  • Prepare commission statements to the producers at the end of the month. 
  • End-of-the-month statements for the customers and balance accounts.
  • 1099s NEC process oversight. 
  • Prepare everything requested from accountants re: tax purposes. 
  • Assist in acquisition valuations. 
  • Utilize the agency management system (Hawksoft) for all servicing and processing tasks related to accounting functions. 
  • Continuously educate your knowledge of the accounting functions of an insurance agency. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of similar related work experience required in insurance or similar industry. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience using an agency management system (Hawksoft, Applied TAM, Applied EPIC, AMS 360) preferred.

Reporting to the Commercial Lines Service Team Leader, the Commercial Lines Account Executive will provide high-level client services for an assigned property and casualty book of business. This assigned property and casualty book of business will encompass both new and renewal accounts of the agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of business (new and renewal) accounts for small to middle-market commercial accounts.
  • Utilize the agency management system (Hawksoft) for all servicing and processing tasks related to client requests and needs (ex: issuance of certificates of insurance, etc.)
  • Provide accurate, thoughtful, and prompt services to all clients and related client stakeholders within 24 hours of when the request from the client.
  • Ability to continuously master the information of all assigned accounts and market renewals to various carrier partners when needed.
  • Continuously educate your knowledge of the property and casualty markets with the help of agency resources.
  • Through account proposals, provide accurate summaries of coverage, submissions, and presentations using various Microsoft office products.
  • Provide all necessary support to Producer/Sales Agents in maintaining their current book of business and prospects in the pipeline.
  • Ability to be a key liaison between Producers/Sales Agents and clients, as well as between the agency and carrier partners.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of similar related work experience required handling commercial insurance accounts in various industry sectors; 5 plus years preferred.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service to all accounts within your assigned book of business.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active California Property and Casualty Insurance License required.
  • Experience using an agency management system (Hawksoft, Applied TAM, Applied EPIC, AMS 360) preferred.
